Looking for a little classic car fun with a side of small-town charm? Well, buckle up, because August in Winnsboro is revving up for a whole month of automotive excitement, during Car Month, and Oaklea Mansion is right in the heart of it!

Whether you're a gearhead, a Disney fan, or someone who likes free popcorn, there's something for everyone this month, and we promise, it’s more fun than a tailgate party in a traffic jam.

🎬 August 16 – Movie Day at the Boxcar Theater (a.k.a. First United Methodist Church)

12:00 PM | FREE Admission!

Get ready to ka-chow! Because the beloved animated movie "Cars" will be hitting the big screen, or at least the fellowship hall wall, at our very own Boxcar Theater.

Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, and all their Radiator Springs buddies are rolling into town, and so should you! Bring the kiddos (or your inner child), grab a hot dog, popcorn, and a soda (available for purchase), and enjoy a full afternoon of family-friendly fun. Did we mention the movie AND all the pre-show festivities are FREE? Yep. That’s how we roll in Winnsboro.

🚓🚒🚜 August 23 – The Big Wheel Bash at the Depot

All Day | Downtown Winnsboro

What do you get when you combine fire trucks, ambulances, Model A Fords, classic motorcycles, tractors, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Harley Tribute Bike? That’s right, the Big Wheel Bash!

This event is like a petting zoo, but for vehicles. From emergency responders to antique engines and everything in between, if it has wheels (or had wheels at some point), it’ll be there.

Oaklea Mansion’s own "Woodie", our gorgeous 1939 Model A Station Wagon, will be making his grand appearance too. He’s classy, sassy, and ready to strut his stuff like it’s 1939 all over again.

Come take a stroll, snap some pics, and maybe even get behind the wheel of your dreams (or at least pretend for your Instagram).

🏁 August 30 – Classic Car Cruise-In & Show

Hosted by the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce | Old Train Depot

Wind up the month with the main event, the annual Classic Car Cruise-In and Show!

From sleek Corvettes to vintage motorcycles, chrome-laden Cadillacs to farm trucks with stories to tell, the downtown depot will be buzzing with horsepower and hometown pride. Cast your vote for Best in Show, grab a bite from a local food vendor, and enjoy the sounds of engines humming and friendly banter.

It’s the kind of gathering that makes you wish you wore your best leather jacket and shades. (We won’t judge if you do.)
