On Saturday, May 10th, Eagle’s Nest Mini Golf lit up with excitement as it hosted a full day of activities to celebrate National Mini Golf Day! Nestled just around the corner from Oaklea Mansion, this whimsical course brought joy to guests of all ages with games, giveaways, and a touch of theatrical flair.

The day was packed with fun, including:

A Mini Golf Milestone: Inaugurating the First Mayor. A highlight of the day was the inauguration of the very first Mayor of Mini Golf, CJ Thatcher! To commemorate the moment, CJ was presented with her very own star on Eagle’s Nest’s “Walk of Fame,” marking the start of what’s sure to become a beloved annual tradition.

Celebrating the Spirit of Mini Golf Nationwide, Eagle’s Nest didn’t just focus on its own course. In the spirit of National Mini Golf Day, they took a moment to honor other beloved courses across the country, including a heartfelt tribute to Play Faire Park in Abilene, Texas. Here's what they shared on Facebook:

“Play Faire Park in our hometown of Abilene, Texas is currently celebrating its 78th season of fun!! Opened in 1947, it began as a miniature golf course for the soldiers returning from World War II. It has continued operations ever since. Play Faire was a spot we visited as teens, and later with our own children. Even after moving to Houston, we would continue to return for visits, hosting our kids’ graduation parties and birthdays with family and friends. Mini golf is a classic game that has stood the test of time. We are grateful to gems like Play Faire Park that keep the traditions of family fun alive and serve as an inspiration to others like us.”
