Did you know Texas is home to more than 500 wineries and over 4,000 acres of vineyards producing wine today? Many of these treasures are right here in East Texas, making fall the perfect season to sip the fruits of the vine while enjoying the cool breezes and golden leaves.
At Oaklea Mansion, we’re fortunate to be surrounded by some of the region’s most welcoming and distinctive vineyards. Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend, a girls’ getaway, or a leisurely afternoon, here are a few wineries just a short drive away from your stay:
🍷 Cicada Ridge Vineyard – Como, TX
Bold and lustrous wines from exquisite grape varieties await at Cicada Ridge. Stroll through the vineyard and experience the fragrant Blanc du Bois, the creamy Ambulo Blanc, and the bold Camminare Noir.

🍷 Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards – Pittsburg, TX
A winery retreat designed to help you relax and decompress. Los Pinos produces award-winning wines and offers a full restaurant menu. They also host private events, from weddings to retreats, with overnight camping available (dry camping only).

🍷 Zepeda Vineyard & Wineries – Pittsburg, TX
Celebrating 30 years of muscadine grapes, Zepeda Vineyard offers a cozy tasting room and patio with views of their 5-acre vineyard. Bring your own picnic and enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by the piney woods.

🍷 Rowdy Creek Ranch – Gilmer, TX

From olive trees at the entrance to breathtaking hilltop views, Enoch’s Stomp offers a full farm-to-table experience. Enjoy tastings, tapas, or fine dining at Cork’s Steakhouse. Reservations are recommended for dinner.

🎨 Save the Date: Winnsboro Art & Wine Festival
No fall season is complete without the Winnsboro Art & Wine Festival, a juried event that draws artists and wineries from across Texas. Stroll downtown Winnsboro, taste award-winning wines, shop artisan booths, enjoy live music, and experience why Winnsboro is one of Texas’ first designated Cultural Arts Districts.
